Need to use a couple of the Mikalor style exhaust clamps, but dont know how much you can really tighten these up to squeeze the tube up to the other
one. Got a bit of a gap, and need to close it to stop leaks.
Alternatively does anyone know if i can get the ends flared slightly?
It wouldn't be tidy but if you clamped it up nice and tight and used some firegum to bridge the space it should be alright...
Otherwise you can get them flared but it's a bit of a faff unless you've got a pet machine shop.
Was thinking of usinf exhaustsealant anyway, and this is really just for the sva bit. Cat comes off afterwards. Can you cut two grooves in a pipe to help it pinch up, a bit like factory built ones.
Within reason that'll work for sure...
depending where you live, Custom Chrome in nuneaton put my pipes on their machines and made a nice fit. Only cost a few quid and i had a nice chat
with some blokes who really like cars.
Defo reconmended from me (but i do live around the corner so it was dead easy)
use silicone sealant.
it stands the temperature, is flexible so won't crack with vibration and it'll be much easier to peel off afterwards compared to exhaust
paste.

Two top ideas there then. To be honest nuneaton isn't that far, although there maybe an exhaust builders somewhere closer, may still be worth a little jolly out one day if i can't find one though. Thanks Guys, don't you just hate it when people don't finish a job off that they promised/got paid to do!
