I'm sure I've seen a thread on this before but can't find it! Do you need a 'special' paint for springs i.e. slightly flexible? If so, what is recommended? I'm not thinking of using hammerite before anyone says anything!!!

I used spay hammerite on anti roll bar last night and then thought exactly the same thing time will tell...

Enamel paint is quite flexable and sticks very well if the part is properly cleaned

I use halfords spray paint and as fr as I know, paint is still on there ... but then my springs a bit hard so maybe don't flex that much.

You won't need a special paint. The spring does not flex that much! Most problems are bought about through inadequate preparation. Because of their shape, springs are buggers to sand!
Best is to powder coat if you've got someone who can do that then it is generally regarded as the best solution.
