hello all

is there any reason i cant drill a hole through the firewall so i can run all the ECU and cables into the passanger footwell so i dont have to have all the wires etc on display on the scuttle or on top of the bulkhead

will it be ok for the sva to drill through the fire wall ?

cheers

Finlay

I dont see any reason why not, surely some things have to go through the firewall (clutch cables etc)?

well I did, no bother, your master cylinder push rods go through there.

Yes, no problem. Just make sure they are properly secured both sides of the firewall.

Dont forget to put decent gromets in to stop the wires chafing and shorting out to earth. These sorts of faults are weird, intermittent and usually hard to find.

Just my 2p worth.

Cable glands will give you cable protection and will seal the firewall to stop ingres sof water etc.

Any electrical retailer or B&Q stock them.
