anyone tried? what sort of voltage could be used?
high voltage/low voltage?
high current/low current? (will there even be any current?)
can i use a car battery charger?
will it work with all sorts of paint? or is there a risk of an explosion?! lol

is that what hammerite metal master is? lol

is there any way to use my exisitng compressor and spray gun electrostatically?

Suppose it depends whether the compressor can impart charge to the flow of paint. I suppose a flow of sprayed paint is a (poor) conductor, so if you have a metal spray nozzle with + charge and - charge to the metal, it might just work....

well, the compressor couldn't, but attaching a 12v battery (or car battery charger) with crocodile clips, probably negative to the chassis and positive to the spray gun.

if it works it works, if it doesn't it doesn't, but my concern would be how flamable the wet paint is. but i guess with the atomisation the charge shouldn't be able to flow so fire shouldn't be a worry should it?
