Propshaft centre bearing mounting ???
Relph - 12/12/12 at 10:58 PM

Hi, i am building an MNR vortx with an hayabusa engine and electric reverse. I was just wondering how you guys had fitted the centre mount as it looks like it needs bolting from underneath which is very fiddley to say the least.
Has anyone found another way to mount it ? anyone got any pics of theirs ?

Cheers Jaime.

This is how it's done on an MK.

Hi Dave

On mine I drilled 4 holes through the floor and put the bolts in from under the car with a socket extension, but I was fitting a revers box don't know if the fixings are the same, it was just to tight to get between the floor and the bracket

Yes Dave yours is the same as on my Mk, but the mount is different on an MNR.

Hi Tony, i considered drilling holes in the floor to make it easier. but im thinking there must be another way as i dont really want to drill the floor.

Cheers guys

I built my MNR a long time ago but did have to use a hole saw on the floor to get a socket up and onto the prop-mount bolts.
