Weber alpha kit

Can anyone confirm if a Weber Alpha ecu takes a feed from a coolant temp sensor. I've got a pre built car and cannot see a sensor for the ecu.
I've also gone through the installation instruction and find no mention of a coolant temp sensor

????

Ps. It's on a ford zetec blacktop engine with a plastic thermostat housing

If its for EFI it will need a Coolant temp sensor otherwise iirc it just drops to a default setting

Wiring diagrams used to be available on the Webcon website

Sorry. Should have said

It's got twin carbs

Ahhhh ok then

Are you using the Weber Alpha PI 150 or similar ? Which is just for carb's

ECU doesn't need to know water temp for computing fueling requirements if using carbs
Although it will have an Air temp sensor

Isnt alpha for throttle bodies not carbs?

Weber Alpha did a kit for webers using the PI 150 ECU ( plus another iirc )
It consisted of a pair of 45 dcoes and all the kit (TPS, Air temp sensor etc)
Westfield used to supply them as a complete kit

The catch is that the Early version of this ECU Cannot be re-programmed, not even by Weber Alpha dealers
The Later version of the ECU can be re-mapped though

Weber Alpha is a pretty reliable system
Only problem is its Weber Alpha dealer for mapping

Yep. That's the kit I've got.

Cheers for clearing that up
