Rose Joints
carpmart - 7/5/09 at 11:33 AM

Hi Chaps

Can anyone recommend me a source for high quality (not F1 quality but v.good race quality) rose joints? I need a few off 5/8" x 5/8" UNF male joints but its a minefield in terms of getting ones which are acceptable quality and will last. Loads on ebay but any good ones? Rally design have a couple of ranges, the more expensive seems good quality but relatively expensive. Demon Thieves are even more pricey! I know I get what I pay for but, there must be a bargain out there!

Any and all advice much appreciated!

mcgill motorsport on ebay are cheap, and loads of people on here used them, never heard any complaints about the quality his

for 5/8" x 5/8", they'd be about £6-7 each?

You won't get a good quality race spec joint for £6-7 and you certainly won't get one from mc gills ebay shop.

for a 5/8 rod end your going to be looking at upwards of £20 each for a decent one.

The people that are praising Mc Gills don't use there cars for racing, if they did they'd be telling you to go for different ones

Nicktheskid is the guy you need to speak too.

not sure what his user name on here is though.

I ordered a steering wheel quick release boss from McGill and it didn't turn up - no arguments, they are sending another!

Mgills dont tend to list the hi spec stuff on ebay but they do do very good quality items that we use on our race car, and still considerably cheaper than anywhere else we have found

Autosport Bearing Company,

-where the proper professionals shop. Simply can't be bettered, and extremely helpful.

And you only use 5/8 rodends, of any quality, on diggers and earthmoving equipment.
