Bank transfer help
Yazza54 - 21/5/11 at 07:45 PM

Bloke from Italy who's buying my fury has asked..

'I need you IBAN and BIC/SWIFT code to make you the international bank transfer'

What the buggary is that? I'm assuming in English that means account no and sort code??

P.s before anyone says .. I have met him and taken cash deposit in person, nothing dodgy.

Ask your bank. IBAN = International Bank Account Number and BIC and SWIFT are completely normal requests for sending money between countries.

All normal stuff.

Cheers,

Mike

IBAN number should be on your bank statment

bank account number and sort code i think.
if you do internet banking.open a new account now and give him those details! that way if anything is dodgy,he wont have anything to steal from you!

Can I open a new account myself? Didn't know that..
Pretty sure he couldn't take my money with just an account no and sort code, then again he has my address and name too. He's not dodgy, he's having an ultima built by a guy my dad knows too.

You can find out online from your banks website. Try using a search engine, Google for example - they will direct you to your own banks website and the area to locate the information...
