http://www.ofmc.co.uk/ for those who have seen him or his son Mark flying its the end of an era and a sad loss
Thats so sad. I have seen him fly many many times and he was indeed one of the greatest pilots ever.
Huge loss RIP.
When yer times up etc....but wow what a lucky bloke to have owned and flown a Spitfire.......cool picture nipping under that bridge
Sad loss indeed, and I'm sure he enjoyed his life of flying...
R.I.P. Ray.
It's one of my ambitions to fly a Spitfire, unfortunately I bet that's how it will stay - an ambition
Such tragic news....
Had the privilege to be at the first Goodwood Revival, to see him fly upside down, about 40 feet off the ground down the start straight!
Absolutely breath taking!
He didn't half get a rollocking....
Brilliant pilot and a cracking chap....he will be sorely missed.

Probably seen his aircraft , Duxford is only about 2 miles as the crow flies from home , nice to sit in garden with a beer and watch them.
