4 port vacuum take-offs - collector dims?
FASTdan - 24/1/10 at 08:55 AM

I recall someone mentioning that typical dimensions are available for a vacuum collector unit when trying to run a MAF system but with 4 individual ports, 40's, bike carbs etc.

Does anyone know where that is on the net? searching google mostly brought up dysons lol.

I deleted the emissions exhaust pump and associated hoses-hardware from a 5.0 Ford Mustang (Mexico) and it had a .5 lt more or less tank, you may be able to salvage one from a car equipped with such a system and use it as a plenum with a couple of fittings and vacuum hose.

I've read about people using modified fuel filters for the job.
Don't know how well they work compared with other sizes.

My Collector is a simple 6" length of 10mm copper tube, seems to work OK but i understand that the Megajolt recomendation is a box 2 x 2 x 3

I reckon a bit of 22mm copper, cap on each end (though drill the fitted one before fitting the other if soldering!) and 4 mig tips in one end, one in the other. Perfect, neat and easy.
