Source of rear wings
Can anyone help with a good source for rear wings?
I'm looking for the narrower type, for use with a standard Escort back axle and 5.5"/6" wheels.
The reason for asking is that a couple of years ago, due to lack of experience, I paid good money for a full set of fibreglass parts from The Toy
Shop. What a heap of cr*p they turned out to be (although I didn't realise it at the time). The Toy Shop have since gone bust, so no joy there, I'm
afraid.
Now that I try to fit the wings I can see that the 'flat bit' that bolts to the bodywork is in fact warped all shapes going. In fact, it's so out
of shape that there's no chance of filing or grinding it to fit - I'd be through the fibreglass! 
I'm going to have one go at cutting off the flange and glassing in a new one (the wings are a bit too wide anyway), but I don't believe it will be
too successful.

[I bought some seconds from Stuart Taylor and they are also crap.I was told they were only seconds due to damaged gel coat and would fit fine.One will
fit but the other has no chance without cutting and filling it. When i spoke to Ian Grey about it he could only suggest that i shouldnt have fitted
the ally until i had bolted the wings to it , as that is how they fit theres. His final answer was to cut the rear panel off and start again, needless
to say i wont be doing that, but will have to modify the drivers side arch somehow.
I got my front arches from triton motorsport at Northampton and really wish i had bought there rears also, they are very good quality and produced by
a company that makes race car bodywork.

My aim is to get this car finished this year, so I can get to Newark in 2003. I have very little spare space in my garage, so that doesn't help

My initial plan is to remake the flange on my old wings - I want them to be a bit narrower anyway.

Angle grinder with a thin cuting disc might do it. The ideal tool if you have one and can bring it to bear is a router with a tct cutter, due to the
very high cutter speed. A Dremel tool might also do it, if rather slowly, depending on what cutters are available.

Yep,the dremel works well 
I also used a tile saw,like a hacksaw frame but larger and you can cut in any direction

Erm, what about cutting the flange off, and whatever amount of the actual wing to bring it to the width you need. Have to be careful to cut it
square, then make a lock of angle ali bits and rivet them to the arche and the ali panel. You'll have some rivets showing...quite racey if you ask
me. Trust me, I've had to think about this. Just ordered from MK though

Your wings are pobably soted now but fo reference, try indespension. They make ,sevice and supply trailers and parts. wings available in
fibeglass,stee, galvanised steel and plastic in many sizes.
Also a good scource for lights, catches etc.
