Oops, Ive scorched the polyurethane
when i was bending the polyurethane for the aeroscreen, i held the heat gun a bit close and it bubbled up and scorched it. is there any thing i can
use to remove it or will i have to live with it. any ideas would be welcome. i thought about using increasingly finer glass papers, then wire wool and
then a polishing mop. would this work?

If the material is perspex or one of it's derivatives, (not polyurethene) then yes your method will work provided the damage is fairly shallow.
Finish off with T Cut and then metal polish, (Brasso).
An alternative is Micro Mesh, this is a kit of several sheets of very fine abrasives and a bottle of finishing polish, must be available on the web
somewhere but will probably be expensive.
If you have used polyurethene for a screen I don't know any method to restore it.

It was polycarbonate sorry. not to worry, made another one out of the piece i had left over now its not needed. spent more time heating it this time
with less heat. Turned out just fine this time, just some distortion on the inside, no scorches though. thanks for the advice
