Advice...
All,
I have to sand the edge of the bonnet to get the shut line correct and the problem is that I am concerned that the gel coat will chip away when
I cut / sand the edge.... Any tips?
thanks

Make sure if you're cutting or sanding then you only do so away from the gelcoat so if it cracks it cracks on the inside rather than the
gelcoat. Otherwise go slowly. I used a dremel type sanding drum when I fettled my bonnet. Worked very nicely.

I've used a dremil with a cutting disk and sanding drum to make hte opening in my nose cone / sand the rear arch cut outs (stuart taylor
arches).
Very impressed - just be careful with the dust, its not good for you. My biggest problem is making sure i didn't go too far, didn't have
any other issues.
