Can I polish scratches out of a windscreen?

As above really, I have a heated caterham screen with some scratches where the windscreen wipers must have been very worn. I was just wondering if it's possible to polish scratches out of glass, and what would I need to use.

Cheers

Adrian

Frost do a special kit for the job. A recent classics mag test suggested it worked well. For very fine scratches you can use toothpaste or autosol and some elbow grease. For deeper scratches you'll need the frost kit which includes a mop for the grinder.

I have successfully removed scratches from my screen with one of those kits, but I couldn't feel them with my fingernail. If they are deep enough for you to feel then you may not be successful.

What about a way to get rid of the sparkle when driving into the sun. Not scratches but pits I guess. Its like driving into a snowstorm when heading into the sun in my tintop.
