Mini rant about the price of steel
It seems that every time i dont need any steel or aluminium, it is really cheap and when i need some its the most expensive it has been for years?
I really want to get the car done and i am getting pretty close to arranging the IVA test (only a month or two away hopefully) but i need tome pretty
large peices of steel to finish the bodywork but i just cant afford it
I am thinking about going down the scrappys but cant think of any vans that i might get some 2 x 1.5 metre sheets of flat steel.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

My TR6 wings are steel but a little too short. I was going to use ali for the front and the bonnet but that is even more expensive!
When i started my build, i brought 2.5m x 1.5m 3 sheets of .8 ali and 1 sheet of galvanised 2mm steel and got it all delivered for just over £100
(delvery was £17).
