How much does a 13 inch wheel weigh
Just bought some old Capri 13 inch alloys off eBay, trying to book a courier to pick them up but I need some idea how much the wheel (plus tyre)
weighs, anyone got a rough idea.

Quite by chance, I bought some last night!
I've just been out with the weighing scales.
They are the 7" wide RS 7 spokes with 205-60 tyres.
One weighed 14.3 kgs. Another weighed in at 15 kgs. They have different brands of tyre on.
Reckon on around 15 kgs each then.
Hey, I've got an idea! Let the air out or fill them with helium to save on postage!!

My generic 15" alloys with 195 50 tyres weighed about 16 or 17 kg each, with tyres fitted.
A 13" wheel with 185/60 tyres (same overall diameter) will probably weigh a bit less. Light weight 13" rims will be less still.

RS Wheels will be around 5kg and tyres around 10kg as said but really depends on make / construction / size and wear!

Sad thing is, I don't want the tyres that are fitted, they're coming off for some R888s, so I'm kind of paying postage for something
I don't want but I got a cracking deal on the wheels so hey ho.
Cheers chaps

That's only seventy miles!
Surely it's cheaper to go and collect them than use a courier.
Plus you will actually see the wheels before parting with your cash. Unless you've already paid, of course.

Look on ebay under caterham wheels and there is a carrier that advertises 4 wheels anywhere for £16.99 for a set.

Got excited about that as I need some delivered but that seems to be FROM £16.99, that price is for one wheel, £35 for a set of 4 (still not bad
though!)
