How much to flare side panels?

I was thinking like this, its about 45mm and matches how far the cage sticks out. Will it cause any IVA horrors? Just to help get heat out of the engine bay. If this is too much/little please feel free to comment.

Looks fine, but I'd go wider...

Oh, and do you think you'll have enough rivets in there

only IVA issue i gould see would be radius projections thingy, some kind of edge trim round the flares should sort that, and it also has a habit of falling off after the IVA is passed

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Cheers gents. I'm going to fit some sort of mesh about 20mm inside to stop fingers poking in.

You could add a small gurney flap along the flared edge to aid extraction of hot under bonnet air.

The gap looks good to me though!

The Gap should be okay I have made around the same on my car. We also did the Same on a MK indy with a 2litre zetec, a 10 degree drop in temp was noted.

Just the top corner to be cautious of with the IVA man.
