Cycle wing fitting

Back when I first put my MK on the road I used the newer cycle wings with the extra tab bits that make them easier to fit. I don't have those anymore but I still have the first cycle wings that came with my original kit. I'd like to fit these as it will save me £££. Has anyone fit cycle wings like this?

^ Pic on left is where the bracket goes under the wing (would require lots of bending) and the pic on the right is where you'd dremel a slot into the wing and have one simple bend. (Green bits are the cycle wings)

I've no idea if it'll work/look naff etc

Our first ones were as the pic on the left and were a b@stard to bend and get right. Our second ones were as the pic on the right. Much easier to fit....
