How do you apply this to rounded parts?

The 3M stuff is self adhesive vinyl which looks authentic (if a little matt) and is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
The stuff you mention is a fabric which requires a spray adhesive to apply it to an interior surface. It looks interesting but I would love to
see a sample before I commit myself.

Even the interior one does state it is waterproof in the spec... Largely depends on the adhesive you use I imagine!
Bought some to try out on the bonnet of R4...

The material I bought is NOT vinyl like the 3M. It is real CF, but it is very thin to go around corners (apparently), and needs to go on with spray
adhesive instead of regular epoxy. I'm kind of wondering about spraying for a shiny, more durable surface.

As nice as it would be (I've ordered the same as you RK) It does state "This product is made with real fabric where you actually see and
feel the carbon weaves. " But I can't imagine that it's actual CF weave given the price, suspect it's real weave of a cheaper
material... I can hope!

Well it was certainly cheap, but I thought it was worth a punt before going 3M. I haven't had a lot of success with vinyl over curves to this
point, so this should stick a bit better, especially if the underside edges are glued too (tip from the Carbon Mod boys site).

When covering curves with vinyl, warming both vinyl and item with a hairdryer will help a lot - not sure about the fabric variety though.
Please tell us how it goes

Received by mail yesterday. It is basically cloth. Not exactly like CF by any means. I have to decide whether to send it back, or cut a piece out to
spray with poly resin to get shiny. Not what I wanted really. I think I may just splurge on the 3m.

RK any chance of some pics? Does it look like CF? even the 3m stuff is a satin finish as real carbon fibre should be...

I'll see what I can do when I get a moment and I'll post the pics. It looks like you could make trousers out of it.
There are some good prices on real CF though on Fleabay.

sorry that didn't turn out very well. I will have no use for this stuff, as I buy premade clothes, sewn together by small children in Asia, and
don't need new trousers. I have ordered some real CF (5 yards of the stuff) for $133 delivered. I'll use the Carbon Mods technique. Wish me
luck on that!!
