Wiper Mechanism
Help please!
How can you work out the correct position to drill the scuttle for the wiper spindle holes?
Thanks in advance

Work out the sweep in angles, work out the length of the blades and arms, work out where you want the blades to be then work backwards. Quite tricky
to do. I did the passenger side first and it was a few CM out so when I did the drivers side I compensated for it.

Same as me.. Also used masking tape to draw out sweep on screen and held blade+arm at different positions.. Not that simple to do, pain really.
Measure many many times hopefully drill once! The issue I found was that I needed really short blades, much shorter than ideal (still works well
despite this!)..
Also needed to mod the arms to fit (much shorter than normal).. Found the stainless arms almost un-drill-able, very hard stuff (blunted my center
punch!!)...
Think about how the angle the spring+arm makes, you can get to close to the screen and make some arms bind...
Cheers
Dan
