If you damage your car due to the poor state of the roads, you can claim from the local council. Speak to the highways dept. and ask for a claim form
to be sent, but be prepared to have photo evidence of alleged poor condition. Then its fairly striaght forward to claim......

If only. I sent everything in just after the snow when i shredded a tyre on the road. Cost me £80, and ive heard absolutely nothing back, despite
chasing them.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

Well I suppose thats bad luck for the two of you that had no luck, I managed to claim for a damaged tyre because my drop kerb outside my house was not
wide enough and caused our car to have to up and down a normal kerb each time, I took photo's and supplied them with invoice for tyre and wheel
and got a cheque in no time.
