Yoko Prada Spec 2 tyres on track
Hi all,
Anybody used these on track?
How do they compare to Toyo T1Rs or similar?
Thanks,
Biz

not used them on a 7 but seen a set on a Ford Puma where they the rubber tread blocks tore up quite bad. may be down to the size/depth of the tread
block movement and do feel quite soft.
that was a warm dry trackday, might be different on a lighter 7 and damp track or better when worn down a bit

I went through 2 sets on my EP3 Type R in 3 years, they were much better than the Bridgestone's it came with, much more grippy.

On the road, not the track, but I think they have slightly more dry grip than the T1S and loads more wet/damp grip.

just put a set of these on my MK, for mainly road use, ive yet to hear a bad work about them on road, but i wouldnt class them as a track tyre -
though they may be ok on a 7 type car due to less weight.
i paid around £37 each for mine delivered in 195/50/15
for a road legal semi slick i would deffo recommend the 888, or the re070 if they come in your size. i also looked into the r1r, but when i saw the
price of the parada's i just went with them

Had a set of the Yoko's on my daughters Fiat Bravo, road use only but a very good tyre for the money. Wet and dry grip excellent.
As they are cheap you could give them a try but if you are looking purely for track day performance go for a dedicated motorsport tyre.
