Which adhesive for rear arch trim?

Which adhesive have people used for sticking tadpole trim to rear arch? And are you supposed to cut slits in it to form the curve round the arch? Cheers!

I cut triangles every inch, held it in position with masking tape, then Sikaflex to stick properly. Arch and trim are now as one so much easier to fit.

Didn't glue or cut it, just drilled through it for the rivets that hold the arc on, never been a problem.
