Tin Top paint
Just bought my daughter her first tin top - lots of light scratches and faded paint.
Anyone here got any recommendations as to the best polishing products and/or cheap deals on polishers ? I have been advised by a mate not to use Mer
or T cut so looking for ideas from those with professional experience.

I bought a silverline polisher, and have used farecla G3 paste, but there are lots of grades. I suggest use a finer (G10??) one as they can be pretty
aggresive.
There are lots of compounds out there, 3M do a range which works well too(used a few times)
T cut isn't too bad, quite mild but that may be a good thing if you haven't used a polisher before.
Hints. Use the polisher slow, keep spraying/misting the area with water, mask up EVERYTHING including yourself, the cat etc. Polish goes everywhere,
especially when you haven't done it before. Get a few sponges, see what works best for you.

an orange one!)

I'll say it before someone else does (and no slight on your daughters driving ability), but it might be worth waiting a few months before
investing the time and effort in polishing it
