Making Side Screens
Having now made my half hood I am looking to make a full hood and side screens. Only problem is I dont know exactly how to make the side screens!!!
How is the vinyl sewn over a steel frame etc. Are there any comprehensive instructions anywhere?

I have some that I didn't make that have an aluminium frame with the vinyl glued and machine sewn over the frame.
I gave up using them as they were so heavy and made my own out of polycarbonate sheet which works well.

i made my own doors for the rush using
2mm? slightly tinted LEXAN sheet for the top half
1.2mm ally for the lower half
the join between i stuck a strip of waterproof black foam strip [bout 10mm wide] then bolted through with round head stainless m4 bolts making sure
they have washers fitted both sides to spread loads and only nipped up by hand to stop any cracks in the lexan.
the join where the hinges go i made a full length plate out of ally that acted as a load spreader and also a clamp to some 1mm thick rubber sheet
shaped to fit the gap in the door to screen perfectly no water ever got in.
the doors were held tight using loops and hooks. i also made an opening air scoop to help with ventilation on warm rainy days.
