Depends on how thick you want to make the mould and parts, but at a guess I'd say start with 10 litres of resin, the corresponding ammount of CSM (3-4Kgs ?) and maybe 2 litres of gelcoat, get plenty of PVA and acetone as well.

its a lot more than you expect.

Please, before you do anything, read my site on making grp bits if you havnt already.

in my view, making your own parts is nuts, (unless you reall have to) and will likely cost as much as buying them.

You have to take into account that you make buck, female mould, then part.

The female mould will take as much grp (supposedly more if you want it really rigid) than the part.

I cant remember the fomula (should be on site, or look it up on CFS's site) but its summat like a 2.5 to 1 ratio of resin to glass by weight.

you will use more than you expected, and with all the other bits and bobs needed, it really mounts up.

I wont repeat whats on the site, its all on there.....

im no grp expert, its just my own novice / learning experience.
