Please can someone help me as to why my paint has cracked.
I have rubbed down to smooth out and key my metal light brackets they where powder coated and as said this was just rubbed down and was overpainted.I put etch primmer on first then a coat of black both out of spray tins. But now it has dried lots of small cracks have appeared in it.Why has this happpen and how do I stop it happening.
Thanks Matty

sounds like a paint reaction ?combination of three paints, are they compatible. It may be the etch primer reacting with the powdercoat.Didnt think you would need an etch primer onto powdercoat. Not an expert just an opinion

As above, etch primer is designed to eat into bare metal, if you put it on an existing coating it will react. powdercoat is fine as a primer, just key it then paint over with topcoat.
