Any specific manufacture to recommend?
(Any ohotos would be much appreciated)

Phil the only mod for a wider car is to the bonnet and nosecone, with a wider ali bonnet it's just a case of making a wider template using the method
in the book, The nose I made in aluminium which is not the easy option!

With a glassfibre nose you should cut the nose in half exactly in the centre and use strips of ali to space the nose to the correct size, screw them on to the outside at about 6 inch intervals. Lay up a strip of glassfibre on the inside the ali strips.

Repeat with another layer staggering the overlaps with the first layer.

Remove the ali strips and lay surface tissue on the top side.

Fill and paint

et voila

Cheers

Chris

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Thanks for the information.

Seem to be quite simple then!

Any recommendations for which supplier to choose?

Cheers

Phil,

There's a few pics in my archive.

I taped 1/32nd" ply on the outside of the nose to line the entire "hole" then laidup resin and matting from inside. Once cured, I used body filler on outside.

Rest of bodywork (all f/glass) I made from scratch. See Mr Gusterson's website for blurb on doing that!
