Heat protecting fibreglass?
Interested to know people's thoughts / solutions to fibreglass that is close to the exhaust system......not really something I considered while
building, but now I've started doing the cut outs on my rear clam shell, realise they have to be fairly large to avoid contact with the
exhaust.....I don't really want to cover he system in exhaust wrap, but this is a last option I needed.
Any magic products out there?.

That heat reflective matt is good stuff. I have some which has prevented my turbo melting my bonnet, and my silencer from igniting my sidepod.
Car builder solutions do it. Best to get their contact adhesive too as they work well together.

Cheers Gents...I think heat mat and High temp contact adhesive will do the trick.

Well proven in Furys and phoenix. I found sealing the edges with foil tape (as used on industrial heater fluesjoints) helped keep it from peeling
back.
