advice on latch for this bonnet hood

I cant get my head around what to do or a good solution.

There will be rubber bump stops along both edges only a couple to keep the shape and then id like it to latch shut at the top, really I only have that lip you see available.

Anyone got any ideas.

I would bond some of these onto the underside of the bonnet.


They slot into brackets like this..

Fit a pull cable and they pop open..

As fitted to most TVRs....

Bingo, thats what im after, nice and small and can easily mount the pin below with a sturdy metal bracket.
