Removable underside bodywork fastener?
Looking for a way of attaching carbon/grp bodywork on the underside of a car. Needs to be removable, preferably flush and not allow water ingress
through to chassis rails/aluminium flooring. Can use rivnuts and CSK's but expect that might work loose over time...
Any ideas LCB?

Form a U that the carbon slots into then the fasteners are only stopping it pulling out, line the U with rubber and you have a waterproof seal.
You would need to joddle the floor to keep it flush.

If it were me I would do rivnuts counter sunk into floor thickness, then a strip of 25mm self adehsivr neoprene foam yhen bolt the carbon up with
dome head allen bolts with thread lock.
Similar to this.

Thanks both,
mark the channeling idea would be neat, though not sure if I've got space to get a good structural floor bond, plus a gap + clamping area...
I guess the neoprene idea from loggy would also help avoid chafing with any movement. Perhaps some countsunk screws into a sealed end rivnut?
These get around the vibration issue (for a price!)
