MIRRORS
Saw some mirrors on a Westfield at Donoington. They were apparently off a Megabusa. Finally found some for a reasonable price at MPS. Their catalogue
is available from their website.

Do the mirrors from MPS have the correct E marks for SVA; most bike mirrors I have liked at don't.

SVA manual section 10 paragraph 2 states that the interior mirror should be marked E class 1 and exterior miroors should be e class 3; most bike
mirrors that I have looked at seem to be E class 2

No E-marks on my pair of GPZ600 mirrors, but i do know they've gone through SVA at Yeading so i'm happy with that.
And at less than 20 quid a pair a bargain.

The mirrors I have are marked E 2 on the plastic housing. Spoke to a Tester at my local station and he didn't have a problem with them. They satisfy
all radius, mirror size and swivel dimensions. I know that cars are passing with bike mirrors, and like so many things SVA, I guess it depends on
where you go for your test? Speaking of tests, anyone any experience with Croyden?

Our mirrors cost 2 quid from Newark jumble, unmarked, but passed SVA. Go figure!

Am i right in saying that mirrors fitted to a locost don't need to spring back to there original position when struck because they aren't the widest
part of the car?

springy mirrors
You are right in saying that. Also they don't have to be E marked but they do have to comply with the specification.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
