Carbon fibre sheet
Does anyone know if you can buy flat formed carbon fibre sheet? I would like to fit it to the interior sides, seat back, tunnel and dash rather than
aluminium. If so where and how much?

look back thro previous posts. there should be a whole conversation on the subject.
for cheap look go for stick on plastic 'look-a-like' trim. the next step up is to make a GRP panel and use real CF as the last outer layer. most
expensive would be to mould your own panels..or you can buy pre formed sheets. no idea where to get it from tho.
sorry didnt really answer your question there.
cheers

I thought you needed specialist equipment to lay up carbon fibre, well if you want it to look good anyway?
I worked as a laminator (fibreglass) for a while, so i'm not worried about making mould etc, but have never used carbon fibre. Anyone tried to lay it
up themselves, and i don't mean stick on themself!!

carbon should realy be cured in an autoclave but if it is just for show then you can lay it up as you would glass, or if you need a bit of strength
you could back the carbon with glassfibre.
I have bought carbon from these people before http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/
Hope this helps.

I have used this company before for some model car parts. They sell sheets of cf and will also make parts from drawings. They can also make 3D cf
parts.

Model racing cars, NOT toys. Cost too much to be toys.
What do you want to know?
