F27; what is typical ground clearance?

I store bits of wood in the garage and drive car over the top.

I had to turn the 4x2 timbers on their side as the F27 I just got would not clear it!! In other words ground clearance under the nose is less than 4 inches but more than 2!

Just wondering if this is about normal.

The accepted figure round here is 4" clearance - otherwise you'll get caught on speed bumps.

Late update - looked at the pictures of your new toy - are the lower wishbones horizontal at the moment? It looks like they're pointing upwards. On the Locost the general opinion is that the lower 'bone should be level (unless I'm mis-quoting! )

You might gain an inch or two by setting the front suspension properly, presuming that this car works in the same way (it looks very similar).
