Rag tops

Although I'm not anywhere near the stage of making a roof my 7 I would appreciate any ideas or warnings from anyone with experience of making their own roofs. I've got 2 ideas, removable hard top or material. Both would have to be weather proof, not just shower proof as I'm planning to run mine 365 days per year.

After watching Driven on ch4 a few months ago where they performed the jetwash test on a Caterham I think it was, along with an elise and vx220, I've decided the standard pop studs is definitely not the way to go, it would also have to go up in less than a minute.

I would appreciate any info on materials, fixings and how to's etc especially around the windscreen, an obvious weakspot doing 70 on a motorway while it's pissing it down.

If I make any progress myself I'll be sure to share it here.

Have a look at the chassis on the LoLocost site - it has some kind of system attached at the back which looks like it is intended to support a cloth roof. Might be a place to start?
