Rear Bulkhead ali panel

Anyone had problems with protruding bolts on an IRS setup when fitting the rear bulkhead panel as my o/s one appears to touch the panel. I was thinking of cutting a hole and repaneling it so that there is no interference.

Cheers

Yup, i have cut holes in both sides of the back panel, to clear the bolt heads, this also allows for later removal of the lower wishbone bolts, i thought about fitting rubber grommets, but can't really see the holes causing a problem.

I don't have this problem or am I misunderstanding? I just uploaded a pic of my boot area to the Photo Archive and there are no protruding bolts?

Make sure you fit the bolts forward facing so that the Nut can be removed and the bolt withdrawn rearwards without touching the rear bulkhead panel

Hi Roger
Mines a little different to yours and if i mounted the bolts as you said i would end up with it up my ar$e when sitting it in the drivers seat. so i think i`ll have to cut a hole and hope for the best.

I must get round to doing some photos
Pic`s look good-coming on nicely.

Cheers Sting

Yeah, photo looks good mate
but i don't reckon that cardboard floor will be much good when it rains.
