pro: certainly more engine cooling
con: may look like you got very lazy making a kit car and just thought, f@:k it im getting bored ill just drive it how it is!!
i think it should be illegal, but the structure is there and as you say, the atoms already done it so i guess its not illegal??!?!

It can't be a stupid idea.....
I was thinking of the same thing after watching the TG rerun on the Atom
It could look a little strange with a full complement of the other panels. It could (as Pete said) end up looking unfinished.
Finishing the panels at the front of the pedalbox would look good though

Plus, the Atom was designed to look like that in the first place, and the locost chassis isn't designed to be seen, just to be functional.
Nice idea though, and it had crossed my mind a few times.
You do it, then we'll all know whether it's a good idea or not!

I can remember seeing a Seven with stained glass panels, complete with a biblical theme some years ago!

dunno about it getting past the radius test with NO pannels on the front, but past SVA it would just be a bit daft.
And i hate to agree with the SVA here but if u did hit some one, a child say. you would make a real mess of them.
I love the kit car scene but there is a limit to how dangerouse you can make them before you have to say enough is enough.....
But thats just me 2 cents, feel free to flame away

I would think a pannel between the diagonal and the hood would be sufficent.
