polishing brushed alloy

Whats the best polish to use on brushed alloy and keep the brushed affect?

Maguires do a polish which is good for ally. Cant remember what its called though. Just polish it the same way as the brushing.

Iv t cut to be good for polishing ally.

Rusty nuts had some good stuff. Im sure he'l be along soon.

Lacquer it before it oxidises? IE no need for polishing?!?!?
It's going to be tricky to polish off the oxide layer without removing the brushing. Certainly with soft alloy after a few polishes you're going to loose that brushed effect....

plain aluminiun and alloy are two different things.


with the former, use autosol or fine wet and dry and then seal in the surface using clear varnish.

alloy depending on tis type, may not need any treatment.

If you hadn't gone to the wrong meet on sunday you could have tried some Meguires , Got the tub in my car will check out the name later . It was the stuff I was using at Newark

Piddy the stuff to try is Meguiars nxt generation all metal polish . Got my fro Halfrauds
