first breakage :(
I was looking at my cycle wings, as you do, and thought the driver's side was wobbling more htan the other one.
On return from first SVA, one of the bolts came loose so I thought tha had happened again even though it was loctited.
Undid the bolt, couldn;t get it back in so had to take out htefront one. Had a close looke ad the lugs and notice a small crack. hmmm, I wonder if
it fleexes so tried bending it and the lug came off in my hand
So found the cause - poor welding (not by me mind) ; now off the road until I weld up some thicker steel; and do all 4 just to be on the safe side.

Consider that failure as your initiation to the Locost drivers club . Almost everyone has this happen at least once!

At least it was a stay and not something ditchfindingly crucial.

We ought to redesign the cycle wing stays and post an improved design on here so that all the kit/part suppliers can use it.

Don't think my cycle stays will break- the uprights are made out of 5mm mild steel bar.... Amazing that they still wobble a little bit though!!
I suppose they're a suspension free zone and the NW London pothole ridden streets aren't to friendly....
