type 9 gearstick

anyone no the degees of movement for the gearstick. as iam sorting out the carpet but iam thinking of getting an h gate made for around the gear stick. to add a nice finish to it. or can you buy them.

if you've only got a short gear leaver, (which would be hard to avoid in a 7),
its unlikely there'll be enough of a gap between the gears to have a H gate as the fingers of the H would be so small.

The base of the leaver would have to be low down and the H high up, thus giving the gearstick a long enough sweep between the gears.

We tried on ours and couldn't do it but who knows it might be possible on your's, I think i've seen it done before on a X-flow'd locost.

ive been looking at one but i might have a go myself. ive seen i few on here. iam still looking for some plans or something to help.
