Fuel tank dilema

I got a new fuel tank sender with my gauges, but the mounting holes dont match those of the existing sender unit. Shound i just cut a new hole then blank of the old one or go to the pub and get pi5hed

At this point I'd usually say go to the boozer and get pished, but at 9.03am I think thats pushing it even for me!!!

So in retrospect - yeah, cut it and blank off old...

Can you not fit the new sender into the blanking plate you would make for the old hole? Make it into an adaptor plate? You may have to use countersunk fasteners in the blank plate.
