Aluminium Side Panels

Hi folks,

Does anyone know where I can buy aluminium side panels from or do I have to cut and shape them myself?

Hopefully I can buy them from somewhere to save me the hassle and make sure they're right.

Cheers,
Matt

Luego definitely sell them as I'm sure many of the other manufacturers do.

I'm ordering my ally next week and the guy said he can cut to size which is what i'm going to get him to do. He is my local metal supplier and he's into cars so will hopefully do things right.

Once i'm ready all i have to do is clamp them on the hammer over the edges.

Andy,

It's the 'hammering over the edges' that's the hard bit!!!
Anyone can cut a sheet of 1.2mm ali to size!

Cheers,
James

I used a rubber builders mallet to fold the edges over the chassis. Nice and easy and no hammer marks to worry about.

They are available from B&Q and all other good diy places.

I cut one piece of 18mm mdf to size, then just formed the ally round the mdf, using block of wood and hammer, easy.

I got my supplier to cut, and bend the top flange over, then bashed the bottom one myself, so you can't see the hammer marks, unless I run you over. Ray
