persuading fibreglas back bonnet to shape...?
i'm currently trial fitting my body work but the fibreglass bonnet seems to have gone out of shape, as in it doesn't fit the scuttle
profile properly. Am i right in thinking i can warm it up with a heat gun then bend it back into shape? any help appreciated.
cheers.

Yes! Gentle use of a heat gun will do the trick. If you're not gentle you'll discover how well fibreglass burns...

I remember seeing a burnt-out Espace once... all that was left of the front was the glass fibres. Looked like one of those caramel basket thingies you
sometimes see in restaurants - sort of like a ball of string

cheers, yeh i'll be careful, can the heat from the other side damage the gelcoat at all?
Why does it go out of shape then, is it because of the way its been stored?

Store it on it's end or they bow and only heat it till it just becomes to hot to touch.

A heat gun might be too localised - probably better to use a fan heater or halogen jobbie. Warm up the whole area and apply weights / clamps etc to
persuade it back into shape.
