Aaargh! But nobody's fault but mine...
Yesterday I decided to polish the car... it was a lovely warm day with no wind at all, so I took the bonnet off and set it aside. Went indoors and a
sudden breeze blew my bonnet over, leaving some nice dings in the to of the GRP air intake...
Normally I would put the bonnet in the garage, and turn it so that the air intake points away from the floor if it fell over. So, no-one to blame but
me.
Spent all of yesterday afternoon and most of today rubbing it down and re-painting.
The final PITA was the rattle can of paint I bought from the supplier last year to make sure that I had some matching paint for repairs... as the can
I was using was running out, I went to use the new one... no go whatsoever, even though it feels full. I've had it far too long to take it back
and complain, and I'm not sure that I can get another these days (cellulose paint). I suppose I'll have to find a can of Halfrauds paint
that matches...

I swapped the nozzle for the one off the old can (which worked OK) - same result.
I think that the propellant has leaked out (or it wasn't charged with gas properly). It was a can filled by a local motor trade supplier, and
they haven't given me any bother before. I can't visit the supplier until next Saturday either - hopefully the old can has put enough
paint on...
No paint code - it so happened that one of his yellow base colours was an exact match for the car's GRP bits, so he just filled the can from
that.

I'm not sure that I want to risk a yellow garage (plus yellow clothes, face, hands, etc.)
