Typical GRP layup in locost bodywork

Having done a fair amount of GRP work in the past in yachts and suchlike I was just curious just how light companies build bodywork?

I know the quality and price varies, and in general due to labour cost and shape they are done in Chopped Strand Mat and not woven mat, but what weights and how many layers usually?

Cheers!

Ive found an american discussion referring to 2 layers of 2oz csm which is ~600gsm.

I wonder if with a little more time spent one could get away with 3 layers of 300gsm?
