Cooling
After noticing the engine temp rising when sat in traffic i've decided to look at venting the bonnet,i've trawled through all the old
links and have 2 questions. Why doesn't anyone vent the side panels[i've seen the pics of side panels opened out 50 mm but can't do
that] & why doesn't anyone vent the back of the bonnet top near the bulkhead ,not so good when sat in traffic but surely would help airflow
when mobile.
Cheers Keith.

Hellfire have vent to the rear of the bonnet, the vented sides allow for a greater degree of cooling on the move as the air flows around the engine
and hot air exits at the rear
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

I have some adjustable stops on the scuttle and can lift the rear of the bonnet 15mm , makes a big difference and can't be seen unless you look
for it.

personally i would go for vents in the side rather than lifting the bonnet
if you lift the back of the bonnet and a hose splits, you get a face full of hot water.....

i stuck mine in the side too but my reason was when it rains it limits the amount of water entering the engine bay.
Sorry about my spelling, im an engineer and only work in numbers.
