Windscreen glass
Searched forum on this subject, and found this thread :-

One contributor mentioned that Caterham used 4mm laminated glass. Is this correct? I need to be sure what thickness is available, as I have an
ex-Caterham screen, which can take only 4mm glass. Major plus point - it fits my MK scuttle.
What is/was thickness of LR Defender screen? Assuming that to be a potential source. Any other suitable automotive glass suppliers?

It was me who said Caterham use 4mm glass based on the Caterham frame and screen I bought. The screen had a chip which turned into a crack so I had to
replace it and at that point discovered it was 4mm. I don't know for sure that all Caterham screens are the same though.
6mm seems common in other screens.

Thanks for confirming this, Stu. Was your glass merely laminated, or specifically automotive quality?

I used a Fiat Panda screen from the 90's green tinted for £35, but for the life of me I can't remember the thickness.
Regards Dan.
The less I worked, the more i liked it.

No, it was just regular laminate.

Thanks to Dan and Stu for your feedback. Useful alternative - Fiat Panda!
