a few 2K acrylic questions

Hi guys.

Ive recently started painting my mini shell with a 2k acrylic system.

Ive primed it all and have painted the bonnet and bay with the topcoat (white)

first question

Because this was my first attempt at spraying with a compressor there are a few flaws in my paint work. mainly slight orange peel which isnt as bad as I expected and I could probably live with.

Can I rub down the hard topcoat and spray another few coats of the same topcoat on top for better coverage as there are a few thin bits on paint on the bonnet or do I have to go back down to primer ?

second question

Can 2k acrylic primer be painted on top of 2k acrylic topcoat ?

third question

Should I be using 2k thinners in my primer or standard thinners ?

thanks people !

2k thinners for 2k primer.
Celly thinners for washing the gun!
If you are adding more coats, flat with 600 or better 800 grade wet abrasive.
Yes, 2k primer is fine on 2k topcoat. In fact it is good on most paints....

leave the topcoat to harden for a week or so before applying more paint, I have seen 2k react due to the paint beneath still being a little soft I dont think its as big a problem if baked afterwards

Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone
