Polycarbonate/Lexan Window tinting

Right I want to put a blackout edge trim all around the windows. Around 1 inch all the way around.

I thought about Tamiya spray paint but then thought about it chipping away

I then thought about putting a layer of very dark window tint film on. But then found a thread about tinting and polycarbonate not being a good mix. Something about gasses and the tint eventually bubbling up.

I am stuck. I have found this: https://www.cromwell.co.uk/CTL9812180L#

Would this work. I just need something inch wide all the way round the window which is black and looks smooth.

Thanks guys.

Why not get some vinyl cut with the correct shape and then apply it to one side or both sides of the window? That way it will look smart....

I just want to put it on the inside so you can't peak it off from outside.

Would the glue show through the window?
