Roll Bars and Trackdays

Hi,

Have just been reading here - http://www.lotus7club.co.uk/7rollcage.htm

and it seems that the lotus 7 club wont let you on their trackdays with roll bars that dont neet their specfications.

I'll book my own track days as I know loads of us do but has anyone experienced problems getting on the track with roll bars to their own design? I dont want to think that I'll not be allowed on certain days or have restrictions on where I can drive after having built the thing with that half in mind!

I have attended track days, test sessions and MSA sanctioned events with both the locost and the GTM.

The locost had a rubbish roll bar ( really really rubbish) and it was never mentioned at track days. Ever

The GTM had no roll hoop whatsoever and I have competed with it like that - no questions asked.

If in doubt, ask the organisers of the particular event but you may just have no problem at all.
